Treatment Center: Willamette Valley Cancer Center

Current State of Treatment: Post Treatment

Interests: Singing, guitar, piano, reading, anything outdoors, helping others.

Hello Everybody!!!

I sure wish I had known about this place sooner! It's hard to believe that there are other people my age going through this when everyone at the cancer center is at least fifty and over. I can't tell you how many puzzles I finished in doctor's office waiting rooms while waiting for blood draws and oncologists. Thank you to everyone out there who is willing to share their lives with people that you don't know! You are all amazing people and in a way...we all DO know each other.

grief.

i'm kind of overwhelmed right now. i've recently had this realization that isn't very fun. it's been 10 months to the day that i finished treatments and i'm just now dealing with the crap that i've gone through. i don't know if anyone else has gone through this cause i'm feeling kind of alone right now, but i don't think i ever accepted the fact that i had cancer and actually dealt with my feelings. i kept a smile on through everything and stayed strong, but in my heart, i think i feel guilty. i… Continue

new to planet cancer, so i figured i'd tell my story. i was sitting in the doctor's office the other day and just happened to pick up a magazine with the founder of this place in it. i read the article and jotted it down so i wouldn't forget it. i wish i would have had someone my age to talk to a year ago when i was going through treatments. there are so many things that the doctors don't tell you. anyway...i'll be 28 in less than a week. i was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in dec. 2006.… Continue
