This is my best friend Eko. He had two knee surgeries and is on a ton of meds just like me. I would be so bored laying on the couch all day if he wasn't right by my side. Thank God for pets!

BACK BEFORE I FOUND OUT THAT I HAD LEUKEMIA OUR DOG MAC WAS ALWAYS LAYING BY ME AND FOLLOWING ME EVERYWHERE WE BOTH THOUGHT IT WAS WEIRD BUT NEVER REALLY GAVE IT A SECOND THOUGHT. HE SENSED IT HE KNEW LONG BEFORE WE DID. I WILL TELL YOU WHAT AFTER SPENDING AS MUCH TIME IN THE HOSPITAL LIKE HAVE THERE IS NOTHING LIKE COMING HOME AND HAVING THEM MEET YOU AT THE DOOR SO EXCITED TO SEE YOU THEY CAN BARELY CONTAIN THEMSELVES.

My rats seem to sense that something is weird with me...when I take them out they lay calmly with me instead of frantically exploring the whole house like they usually did. I live alone, so it's totally calming to have pets to squish. Glad other people appreciate them as much as I do!

Hi all! This is Maggie-Mae. She's my sweet girl who never left my side throughout my treatments and surgeries.

When we found out I had cancer, my husband and I decided to get a French Bulldog. We ended up naming him Kemo Sabe which means "friend," but we just call him "Kemo." He was my sense of humor through all of my treatments. I wouldn't be the same right now without him. He definitely kept a smile on my face and my heart full of joy.

I started my cancer journey I had to older dogs that were always with me and were a great comfort to me. They both died one year after my SCT, within 2 months of each other. For what they meant to me, I had them both creamated and keep them with me .Photobucket

Ok guys, I think that I went overboard. I have at least 30 pets and I wouldn't be here without them............. They were the only thing to bring me jsome peace and joy while I was going through the most mentally difficult time I could ever imagine. For me, the emotional and mental issues that I have is worse than the disease itself........Would luv to meet others who have mental problems like I do. LOL! Melissa, Calif.

I wouldn't be able to get through this without my best friend Hunter!
